Job Title: Project Accountant
Location: DFW Metroplex, TX (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 Annually (Based on experience)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our team! This is a key position within the organization, offering strong opportunities for growth and advancement. The Project Accountant will work closely and professionally with Project Managers, customers, and subcontractors, and will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounts receivable, job setup and compliance, and subcontractor administration. This role reports directly to the Controller and does not have direct reports.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Candidates must be flexible, collaborative, self-motivated, and driven to excel in a fast-paced, goal-oriented workplace.
Core Responsabilities
- Job / Customer / Subcontractor Setup and Compliance
- Full Cycle Accounts Receivable
- Manage Lien Filings / Waivers / Bonds
- Contractor Prequalification Submission
- Maintain City Registration for Mechanical and Plumbing Licenses
- Assist the Accounting Manager and Controller with Annual Audits
Required Background
- Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial construction accounting
- Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge as demonstrated by a four-year degree in accounting/finance or relevant work experience
- Ability to investigate, analyze, and solve accounting problems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required, Intermediate Excel Working knowledge of Timberline/Sage software is
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
