Project Controls Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Controls Manager to lead project controls functions for Meta’s AI-enabling infrastructure campus in Richland Parish, LA — the largest data center project in the world and a strategic priority for Meta. This pivotal leadership role will be part of the campus executive leadership team, responsible for driving project strategy, execution operations, risk management, cost control, planning and scheduling, and executive-level reporting.

You will manage a small team of subject matter experts specializing in cost and schedule management, leveraging their expertise to build and sustain a world-class project controls team. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to thrive in a highly collaborative and analytical environment.

As a key leader within the project controls organization, you will work closely with other Project Controls Managers and cross-functional partners including Site Project Management, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement Engineering to ensure seamless project delivery and alignment with Meta’s business objectives.Project Controls Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programmatic strategy for project controls aligned with overall campus execution goals
  • Manage campus-wide planning and scheduling strategy and operations including coordination with procurement, offsite infrastructure, energy, and vendors
  • Lead and manage a team of project controls subject matter experts specializing in cost and schedule management
  • Drive cost control initiatives to ensure budget adherence and financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide accurate and timely executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and financial performance
  • Develop and track project KPIs to enable action, decision making, and to communicate project health and performance
  • Foster a mentality of continuous improvement and OE within the project controls team
  • Serve as a key leader within the project controls organization, influencing overall organizational direction and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with Meta’s policies, standards, and regulatory requirements related to project controls

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of construction management and/or construction project controls experience and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field OR 20+ years of related experience in lieu of a 4 year degree
  • Proven experience managing project controls functions for large-scale infrastructure or data center projects
  • Proven expertise in cost management, scheduling, risk management, and project controls best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams of subject matter experts
  • Polished communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple internal teams and stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with profound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities
  • Proven experience providing clear and concise executive-level reporting and presentations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with project controls software and tools commonly used in large capital projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Meta’s project management and project controls processes
  • Experience planning and executing projects with large-scale offsite manufacturing and integration

$171,000/year to $231,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
