Project Developer (Renewables & Data Centers)

Job Description

GRS is seeking a Senior Renewables & Data Center Project Developer, who will drive the expansion of our US footprint by leading solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and data center projects from initial origination all the way to the Ready-to-Build (RTB) stage.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of direct experience performing project development duties within the renewable energy (Solar/BESS) and/or data center sectors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong baseline understanding of electrical systems.
  • Software Skills:
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Experience with industry software like PVSyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, Presto, CypeCad, or DMelect is considered a strong plus.
  • : English fluency; additional are a plus.
  • Location: Ability to work full-time out of the GRS office in the Dallas area (Irving, TX).

Key Responsibilities

Project Development & Management

  • Lead & Execute: Drive the development lifecycle of solar, BESS, and data center projects across the US market.
  • Site Analysis: Identify and analyze strategic locations for new project greenfield development.
  • Permitting & Licensing: Manage critical studies, real estate, permits, and licensing required to advance projects to the RTB stage.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for public administrations, private entities, advisors, and service providers.
  • Budget & Schedule Control: Monitor project progress closely, ensuring strict adherence to budgets, delivery requirements, and schedule control strategies.
  • Technical Alignment: Ensure project scoping, engineering documents, and "Safety in Design" reviews align seamlessly with Gransolar standards and local legislation.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate technical, financial, and regulatory risks associated with project development.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Collaboration: Provide active support, mentorship, and technical input to the US-based development team.
  • Team Culture: Play an active role in motivating the team, driving a high-performance culture, and fostering continuous improvement and flexible skill sets.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear, timely project progress reports (weekly/monthly) for management.
