You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering projects that power the data centre, renewable energy, and battery storage (BESS) sectors, ensuring reliability where it matters most. You'll run multiple projects with regional responsibilities and a strong progression plan.

The Role

As Project Director, you’ll take full ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to energisation, overseeing multiple high-value schemes nationwide. Working closely with key clients and internal delivery teams, you’ll ensure safety, quality, and commercial performance are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams across HV substation, grid connection, and BESS projects.
  • Manage client relationships and act as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet programme, budget, and safety objectives.
  • Oversee commercial reporting, risk management, and strategic delivery planning.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business.

About You

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering HV substation or grid projects (132kV+).
  • Background with a specialist HV contractor or principal contractor.
  • Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and client management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a growing, technically expert contractor at the forefront of energy and digital infrastructure delivery. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the UK’s energy transition and mission-critical power network, with clear scope for progression and influence at senior level.
