As a Tier 1 Main Contractor, we deliver some of the UK and Europe’s most complex, high-value projects across commercial, infrastructure, healthcare, and mission-critical sectors. Our Data Centre division is a key growth area, delivering hyperscale and enterprise facilities for global technology clients.

With a strong pipeline of secured work, we are now seeking an experienced Project Director to join our specialist Data Centre team.

The Role

As Project Director, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of data centre projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a high-profile role working on technically complex, fast-paced, mission-critical schemes.

Key Responsibilities as a Project Director

  • Lead project delivery from inception to completion
  • Manage site teams including construction managers, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Oversee programme, budget, risk, and quality control
  • Drive health & safety excellence and compliance
  • Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
  • Coordinate with design, commercial, and MEP teams
  • Ensure successful commissioning and handover processes
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership

We are looking for a driven and technically strong Project Director with:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects (£20m+), ideally within data centres or other mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of MEP packages and commissioning processes
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 or leading Tier 2 contractor
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • A track record of delivering projects safely and profitably
  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar ()
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and relevant professional accreditation (e.g., MCIOB)
