Project Director (Hyperscale Data Centres)\n Location: Central London \n Salary: Up to £140,000 + Comprehensive Package\n \n We at Smart4EPC are currently assisting our Top Ranked M&E client on their search for an accomplished Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale Hyperscale Data Centre projects across the UK. This is a senior leadership opportunity to take full responsibility for complex, high-value MEP delivery - ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical and commercial standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nTake full ownership of project delivery across major hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects.\nLead multi-disciplinary teams through all phases - from pre-construction and design coordination to commissioning and client handover.\nOversee mechanical systems including cooling, air handling, chilled water, and energy-efficient infrastructure solutions.\nManage commercial performance, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.\nFoster strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors, and internal stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with rigorous technical standards, health & safety, and environmental requirements.\nProvide leadership and mentoring to project managers and engineering teams, promoting technical excellence and best practice.Role Requirements:\n\nProven track record as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager within the MEP contracting or data centre delivery environment.\nStrong mechanical engineering background, ideally degree-qualified or equivalent.\nDemonstrable experience managing hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects within the UK.\nExceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.\nCommercially driven, with deep understanding of project governance and financial control.\nA proactive, solutions-oriented professional capable of delivering under pressure and to tight deadlinesApply now or contact me personally for a confidential discussion on or (phone number removed)
