The Mission: Project Engineer
As a Project Engineer, you will be the engine of project coordination and the master of information flow for the data center construction site. You will ensure the timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of one of the world's most sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities (Your Daily Impact):
- Document Control Command: Take ownership of the project's critical documentation, including Requests for Information (RFIs), Submittals, Change Orders (COs), and meeting minutes, ensuring all stakeholders are working from the latest, most accurate information.
- Procore Power User: Leverage your hands-on expertise with Procore (or similar sophisticated Project Management software) to track, manage, and report on construction data, schedules, and deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central communication hub between construction managers, subcontractors, design teams, vendors, and internal AWS stakeholders, driving seamless workflow and issue resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in implementing and overseeing quality control and safety programs, conducting site walks, and managing punch list completion to ensure the highest standards of mission-critical construction.
- Logistics & Tracking: Support the tracking and coordination of Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment deliveries to ensure timely arrival and integration into the fast-paced construction timeline.
The Ideal Candidate (That's You!):
- Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with a strong preference for large-scale commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects (data centers, hospitals, pharmaceuticals).
- Technical Know-How: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Software Savvy: Proven, working experience with Procore for documentation and project management is a must-have. Familiarity with AutoCAD/Bluebeam is a plus.
- Project Mindset: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously under demanding deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you must be able to clearly articulate complex technical and commercial issues.
