Project/Group Manager

Blackmon Power, LLC, a subsidiary of Blackmon Service, Inc., serves both Carolinas as a full-service Electrical and Testing Contractor. While specializing in data centers and critical environments, we provide our services for various customers throughout the region. We offer and self-perform a wide variety of power testing services including circuit breaker and relay testing, thermal imaging, Arc-Flash studies, commissioning, switchgear maintenance and acceptance testing.

We are currently looking for a Project/Group Manager to lead the testing group. This is a full-time position with benefits including base salary plus performance bonuses. The job is in-office but flexible for remote work as needed. The candidate must be able to work from our Charlotte, NC location.

Job Functions

• Maintain existing customer base and lead efforts to acquire new projects and customers.
• Schedule and manage current field staff and additions as needed.
• Estimate projects.
• Generate customer proposals
• Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and meet with customers
• Represent the company at tradeshows and events
• Generate MOPs (Methods of Procedure)
• Other similar items as needed.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Technical aptitude with knowledge of electrical components and systems is required
• Strong attention to detail
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and protocols is required

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years in the electrical construction industry is required.
• Experience managing field teams required.
• Experience working in an office environment is
• Testing experience is a plus but not required
