Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of high-speed connector development projects across North America and China. This role interfaces daily with North American development teams (electrical/SI, mechanical, materials, validation) while driving detailed execution via back-end project management teams in China.
The Project Manager ensures that project requirements, milestones, risks, and deliverables are tracked and communicated and ensures all project results, data packages, and milestone outcomes are delivered to the Program Management team for consolidation, customer readiness, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Build and own integrated project plans, including timelines, deliverables, dependencies, resources, and critical paths.
- Coordinate daily activities across NA design teams and China execution teams, ensuring technical intent and schedule alignment.
Technical Coordination
- Work with electrical/SI, mechanical, materials, and validation teams to ensure requirements are understood and executed.
- Coordinate and track validation plans, test readiness, fixture needs, and data collection.
Global Cross-Team Collaboration
- Align North American development teams (electrical/SI, mechanical, materials, test, quality) on specifications, performance targets, and validation plans.
- Coordinate day-to-day execution with China-based project management on tooling, pilots, FA builds, capacity, procurement, and readiness gates; ensure design intent and customer commitments translate cleanly to factory actions.
Risk, Issue & Change Control
- Identify risks early (supply, tooling, SI, process capability, packaging/shipping robustness) and drive mitigations with owners and due dates.
- Escalate risks quickly to both Program Management and functional owners.
Program Management/Stakeholder Communication
- Provide concise executive-ready status.
- Support project reviews and technical Q&A with fact-based updates and documented actions.
- Maintain a single source of truth for schedules, commitments, and change history.\
