Job DescriptionProject Manager Location: Canary Wharf

Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm (flexible, with overtime where agreed)
Up to £85k

  We're looking for an Electrically-biased Project Manager, with experience looking after M&E works on Data Centre projects.

Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery:

    \n
  • Oversee project delivery in line with programme milestones

    • \n

  • Monitor site progress, quality, and productivity

    • \n

  • Lead project meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors

    • \n

  • Manage commissioning, testing, and record documentation

    • \n

Commercial & Financial:

    \n
  • Develop and maintain procurement schedules

    • \n

  • Lead procurement of subcontractor packages and major equipment

    • \n

  • Review quotations and negotiate commercial terms

    • \n

  • Support cost reporting, forecasting, and variation management

    • \n

  • Protect project margin and manage commercial risk

    • \n

Team Leadership & Development:

    \n
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Site Managers

    • \n

  • Promote collaboration and high performance

    • \n

  • Manage subcontractor performance and stakeholder relationships

    • \n

Health, Safety & Quality:

    \n
  • Ensure compliance with HSQE procedures, ISO standards, and CDM regulations

    • \n

  • Promote a strong health and safety culture

    • \n

  • Maintain QA/QC processes throughout the project

    • \n

Design & Pre-Construction:

    \n
  • Lead estimating handover meetings

    • \n

  • Coordinate design deliverables with construction sequencing and procurement strategy

    • \n

  • Manage RFI process and design approvals

    • \n

Requirements

    \n
  • Significant experience at Project Manager level delivering complex construction or engineering projects

    • \n

  • Data Centre / Critical Facilities experience essential

    • \n

  • Electrical qualifications required; mechanical knowledge desirable

    • \n

  • SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management (or equivalent)

    • \n
