Project Manager (m/f/d) – Project Development & Approval
Type: Freelance
Length: 12 Months ( possible extension to 24 months)

For an outstanding project in Brandenburg – a gas engine power plant with a thermal output of 49.9 MW – we are seeking an experienced Project Manager (m/f/d) for Project Development & Approval.
Tasks
• Overall responsibility for the project development and approval processes for a decentralized gas engine power plant (49.9 MW FWL).
• Coordination of all relevant planning, environmental, and approval documents (BImSchG, TA Luft, AwSV, etc.).
• Management of interfaces with authorities, municipalities, grid operators, and specialist planners.
• Conducting and moderating presentations, workshops, and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant TIER and EN standards for data center projects.
• Use of MS Office, AutoCAD, and project-related tools for planning, reporting, and documentation.
• Close collaboration with internal departments (Engineering, Legal, Finance, Sales).
• Direct reporting to the Managing Director of the Data Center Solutions division.
Skills
• Completed studies in engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or similar.
• At least 15 years of experience in project management of complex power plant or energy infrastructure projects.
• Successful completion of at least two comparable projects (approval + implementation).
• Excellent relationships with approval and regulatory authorities in Germany, ideally in Brandenburg.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, strong persuasiveness.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of data centers, TIER standards, and EN standards is an advantage.
• Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a pragmatic, hands-on mentality.
