Job Title: Field Services Construction Project Manager
Pay Rate: $88.89/hr
Contract length: 9 months, possible extension
Contract Location: New Albany, OH (43054)
ONSITE: Monday - Friday, 10hr days. 8 Straight Time hrs, 2 Overtime hrs.
Overtime Pay Rate: $133.34/hr
Potential weekend work depending on customer schedule.
Interview Information: Initial phone interview and then a 2nd call with local district operations manager.
Description:
The Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Field Services Construction Manager to direct the on-site execution of startup and commissioning projects for large data center clients.
These projects will be completed in conjunction with our District Operations Centers (DOC’s), with the Construction Manager overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, control, and job closure activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS:
List the specific functions, which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. Include references to dimensions if applicable, i.e. any record of measurable statistics which this position impacts; like income statements, forecasts, utilization, safety, EBE metrics, capital expenditures, headcount responsibilities, etc:
- Serve as daily onsite construction manager for Engineering Services commissioning activities.
- Oversee tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews.
- Utilize necessary project management tools, software, and other resources to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables on site.
- Own coordination of project meetings (internal and external) and formal communication plans to key project stakeholders.
- Coordinate and navigate Eaton scheduling and work activities around other trades, driving execution efficiencies for Eaton and customer
- Determine mechanisms required for successful job closeout (punch lists / issue resolution, internal warranty, transition to owner or other entity).
- Serve as primary point of contact throughout duration of EESS activities on site.
- Collaborate with DOC team to communicate any safety program initiatives, concerns, or oversights to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders.
- Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with commercial operations teams, including North American Sales (NAS)
Project Management Organization, sales engineers, and EESS Technical Application Support (TAS) organization to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines. - Implement and cascade requirements associated with any program level initiatives or changes from technical program managers within the Strategic Operations organization.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members; demonstrate advanced project management, operational and commercial competencies to help develop team effectiveness

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
State the qualifications that the potential applicants must possess to be considered in the selection process. This includes all required specialized knowledge. Ensure that the basic qualifications are non-comparative, objective and relevant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Resource allocation experience
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
QUALIFICATIONS:
List those qualifications that are not basic, including specialized knowledge (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative) which are and would be highly valued if possessed on top of the basic qualifications:
- PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification
- 5+ years electrical field services experience
- 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as project manager or construction manager
- Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages
- OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry or construction certification.
