The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for all phases involved in the design, build and/or development of cooling solution projects for the data center market.. A Project Manager ensures projects are managed effectively and align with the broader objectives of the business from receipt of purchase order through installation, commissioning and final installation and customer acceptance of the equipment. The PM’s primary objectives are to manage project scope and scope changes, performance to schedule and budget as defined by customer contracts and Opticools policies and procedures. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery, clear communication, and seamless coordination across departments. This role requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer relationships.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular status updates and address inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and met.

· Project Planning & Execution:

  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to ensure resource availability.

Interdepartmental Communication:

  • Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, sales, and support staff.
  • Communicate project requirements and changes effectively across departments.

Meeting Management:

  • Schedule and lead internal and customer meetings.
  • Prepare agendas and distribute meeting materials.
  • Document meeting minutes and action items, ensuring timely follow-up.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, budgets, and communications.
  • Generate weekly progress reports for internal stakeholders and customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills)

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.

· 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in HVAC, data center, or industrial systems.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, or similar).

· PMP certification but not required.
