Job DescriptionJob Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician with strong Mechanical and Electrical Operations experience to support day-to-day data center operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preventive maintenance, inspections, vendor management, and work order execution within a data center environment.
Training Schedule
- Initial training will be conducted Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM for the first two weeks
- Availability during this training period is mandatory
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily rounds and reads inspections
- Execute preventive maintenance activities on critical infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain mechanical and electrical systems
- Escort and oversee third-party vendors during on-site work
- Manage and close work orders accurately and timely
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment or system issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation and operational logs
Required Experience
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in a Data Center environment
- Prior hands-on experience in Mechanical and Electrical Operations
Education
- Completed Trade School Program (Electrical, HVAC, or related field)
Systems & Software Proficiency
- Strong computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic knowledge of facility or asset management applications
Certifications ()
- Certified Electrician and/or HVAC Technician
Top Must-Have Skills
- Proven Data Center experience (Mechanical/Electrical Ops focus)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Solid understanding of electrical systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a critical operations environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Ability to mentor and share knowledge with junior technicians
- Multi-skilled background in both Electrical and HVAC systems
