Project Manager – Industrial Manufacturing (Data Center Projects)

$90,000 – $120,000

About the Opportunity

We are a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Project Manager to support large-scale, engineered-to-order equipment projects, with a strong emphasis on data center enclosure systems. This is a newly created position driven by significant growth and a rapidly expanding project backlog.

This role is highly visible within the organization and plays a critical part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to customer expectations. What You’ll Do

  • Manage industrial equipment and enclosure projects from sales handoff through installation, startup, and warranty closeout
  • Partner with Sales to define scope of supply, develop estimates, and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and service
  • Coordinate internal and external design reviews and manage customer approval drawings
  • Oversee release of engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Track project financials including budgets, cost forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
  • Manage project changes using formal impact and change notice processes
  • Support manufacturing by resolving design, production, and supply chain issues
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Support customers during installation, startup, and warranty events
  • Mentor and support project and design engineers assigned to your projects
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
    (Bachelor’s degree in Business with 8+ years of relevant experience will also be considered)
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience or 5–10+ years of Project Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing custom or engineered-to-order equipment projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Working knowledge of financial concepts including cost estimates, EACs, ROI, and cost control
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, including reviewing drawings and BOMs
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional manufacturing teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting data center enclosure systems or similar large-scale engineered products
  • Installation, startup, or commissioning experience
  • Exposure to New Product Development (NPD)
  • Vendor and supplier management experience
  • Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project or similar)
  • PMP certification (, not required)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or project team members

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)
