Project Manager – Electrical Construction (Data Center / Mission-Critical)

Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee electrical construction projects within data centers and other mission-critical facilities, ensuring all work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires extensive electrical construction knowledge, proven leadership experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to successfully manage projects in secure, fast-paced environments with strict compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
- Lead project execution while providing direction and support to field supervisors, foremen, and electricians.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all customer and facility requirements.
- Oversee field installation in active or high-security environments while minimizing operational disruptions.
- Develop and manage Methods of Procedure (MOPs), switching procedures, and detailed work plans.
- Coordinate planned outages, shutdowns, tie-ins, and critical work with customers and stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and financial performance.
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Utilize Procore daily for project management, documentation, correspondence, schedules, drawings, and tracking project progress.
- Coordinate material procurement, vendor management, subcontractors, and long-lead equipment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, facility managers, engineers, vendors, and general contractors.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication regarding schedules, risks, scope changes, and project status.
- Ensure adherence to site-specific safety protocols, security requirements, and customer standards.
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts for future mission-critical work.
- Coordinate service work, maintenance projects, and emergency response activities when required.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects.
- Previous electrical field experience as a Journeyman Electrician, Foreman, Superintendent, or similar electrical leadership role.
- Proven experience leading teams, mentoring employees, and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction methods and best practices.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost tracking, and change orders.
- Proficiency with Procore and experience using it daily for project documentation, drawings, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and communication.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience managing electrical projects within data centers or other mission-critical facilities.
- Strong understanding of:
- Critical power systems
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Redundancy (N+1, 2N, etc.)
- Shutdown planning and risk mitigation
- Experience with estimating software and project management platforms such as Timberline, Sage, or similar.

Employment Information
- Employment is at-will in accordance with company policy.
- New hires are subject to a 90-day introductory period.
- Compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and security protocols is required.
