A confidential modular mechanical systems manufacturer is hiring a Project Manager to support its offsite manufacturing operations in the Greensboro area. This is a full-time, on-site role within a production facility that delivers prefabricated mechanical and environmental control systems for large-scale, mission-critical facilities. The position supports a 5+ year secured pipeline of work with major technology clients, producing modular solutions for data centers and other highly technical environments, including complex mechanical and CUP-style systems.

The Role

This Project Manager position is centered on project controls, with a strong emphasis on scheduling, budgeting, and cost management in a manufacturing-driven environment. You’ll manage multiple concurrent workstreams from planning through delivery, ensuring projects meet production timelines and financial targets. A key component of the role is mentoring and developing junior project staff, helping build consistent processes and grow internal talent as the operation scales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules, budgets, and execution for modular mechanical system projects
  • Develop and maintain production and delivery schedules
  • Track costs, forecasts, and change impacts
  • Coordinate with fabrication, engineering, procurement, and logistics teams
  • Identify and mitigate schedule and cost risks
  • Mentor and train junior project managers and project engineers
  • Support standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

What They’re Looking For

  • Project management experience in construction, mechanical, plumbing, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong capability in scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Exposure to mechanical or MEP systems
  • Ability to work on-site at the facility five days per week
  • Experience mentoring or training junior staff
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a production setting
