Project Scheduler — Industrial/Commercial Construction | Abilene, TX

Our client, a leading industrial/commercial construction company, is hiring a Project Scheduler for a major power-/data-center program in Abilene, TX — a 10-year project offering long-term stability.

\n

\n

Schedule: M–Sat 7am-5pm, often off early on Saturdays

\n

Compensation: $120K–$130K base + full benefits, PTO, paid holidays, $175/day per diem (~$50K/year, even for local candidates), and $1,200/month car allowance - NO RELO

\n

\n

The Role You'll act as the project's "traffic controller" — owning the schedule in Primavera P6, tracking sequencing across multiple work zones, and keeping milestones aligned through commissioning and turnover. Responsibilities include:

\n
• Build and maintain detailed schedules in Primavera P6

\n

• Monitor progress, milestones, and critical-path activities daily

\n

• Coordinate with PMs, Superintendents, contractors, and trades to validate schedule logic

\n

• Track cross-zone sequencing to protect downstream commissioning/turnover dates

\n

• Deliver clear schedule/status reporting to leadership and the client

\n

• Flag slippage and risks early; drive recovery/mitigation plans

\n

• Keep the schedule current through frequent/daily updates (not resource-loaded — focus is logic, sequencing, and critical path)

Software: Primavera P6 (required), Microsoft Office, Procore

\n

\n

What You Bring

\n

\n
• 4+ years in scheduling/project controls on major industrial, power gen, oil & gas, renewable energy, or data center projects

\n

• Strong Primavera P6 proficiency

\n

• Bachelor's , not required with strong P6 experience

\n

• Comfortable coordinating across field teams, PMs, and client stakeholders

\n

\n
