QA/QC Manager Role

MK Search are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of £400m and a strong presence across sectors who are looking for a QA/QC Manager to join their team on a brand new data centre project they have secured in Hemel Hempstead. They will act as Principal Contractor on the scheme with full ownership of the £97m package.\n\nAs QA/QC you will technically be part of the commissioning team, but join work closely with the operations team from an early stage of the project and through the life cycle to PC.\n\n * \n\n Establish and implement a comprehensive QA/QC program tailored to the project specific requirements including policies, procedures, and inspection protocols.\n\n * \n\n Present the project quality plan for approval to the client.\n\n * \n\n Establish quality standards & criterion ensuring alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.\n\n * \n\n Manage regular inspections of project installations to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and regulations.\n\n * \n\n Carry out quality control checks and tests on equipment & systems.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate with engineers, internal teams, and stakeholders to conduct inspections as needed and review testing reports for accuracy and completeness.\n\n * \n\n Lay out and maintain detailed records of QA/QC activities including inspection reports and corrective actions.\n\n * \n\n Arrange comprehensive QA/QC documentation for in project closeout packages and ensure that all required documentation is complete and accurate.\n\n * \n\n Preparation of weekly/ monthly QA/QC reports from inspections including issues found and corrective actions implemented.\n\n * \n\n Degree in Construction Management or related field.\n\n * \n\n 5+ years’ experience in QA/QC Management roles preferably in healthcare/ hospital projects.\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, attention to details, and best practices.\n\n * \n\n Proven communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.\n\n * \n\n Strong knowledge of Quality Management software and tools.\n\nSign off to pay a very attractive salary (or day rate) with a chance to join a leading contractor from the very beginning of a notable scheme.
