Job Overview:

The Quality Control Manager will oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for the mechanical scope of a large data center project located in Lebanon, IN. This role ensures all HVAC, plumbing, and piping installations meet project requirements, specifications, and client standards. The QC Manager will lead QC Engineers, coordinate with project teams, manage inspections, track issues in ACC Build, and ensure the final product meets the company’s rigorous quality expectations.

Summary:

This position supports the mechanical division—responsible for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems on new construction and renovation projects in high-demand environments such as hospitals, K–12 schools, universities, high-rises, and data centers. The Quality Control Manager ensures that all materials, equipment, and installations are inspected, documented, and compliant with project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Inspection & Verification

  • Perform and oversee equipment and material receiving inspections.
  • Verify all received items match the Bill of Lading (BOL) and approved submittals.
  • Document any discrepancies or damage in ACC Build.
  • Conduct installation inspections to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Documentation & Tracking

  • Maintain all required project documentation in ACC Build.
  • Oversee daily issue management, including assignment, tracking, updates, and closure.
  • Generate reports for responsible team members and verify corrective actions in the field.
  • Provide weekly updates on open issues and their status.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide Quality Control Engineers to ensure consistent QC/QA processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field leadership.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all mechanical work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain strong communication with field teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering OR minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience with emphasis on quality control, materials testing, or laboratory testing.
  • At least 3 years of jobsite QC experience; previous leadership of QC teams .
  • Experience with data center construction is strongly .
  • Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, building codes, and industry regulations.
  • Familiarity with digital issue management systems (ACC Build ).
