Position Summary
This position is for a Quality Engineer at our Anaheim, CA facility, reporting to our Quality Manager. The Quality Engineer will perform a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for commercial and/or government customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality engineering support throughout all phases of product development
- Support manufacturing and development teams with process mapping, controls, SOPs, CAPA, inspections, and test procedures
- Develop inspection and testing strategies (tooling, fixtures, gauging, equipment) for incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Maintain and control quality documentation
- Support supplier quality through inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Plan and assist with quality audits to ensure compliance with QMS (ISO 9001 / AS9100)
- Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and final inspections as required
- Lead and support corrective action programs, including customer complaints and returns
- Oversee calibration, internal audits, and AS9100 management reviews
- Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, and control plan development
- Review and approve quality system procedures
- Manage nonconforming materials and engineering change processes (ECNs, CMAS)
- Support product testing and overall quality program initiatives
Requirements:
- BS in engineering or technical field.
- Minimum of five years of QA experience in a regulated industry, aerospace industry .
- Knowledge of quality system regulations/requirements.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAPA, etc.
- Understanding of statistical techniques (SPC, DOE, ANOVA, probability theory, sampling distributions, Minitab, etc.)
- Experience in GD&T.
