About the Role:

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections within the Stockton manufacturing facility. This role ensures products meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality requirements while supporting production throughput and continuous improvement initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using applicable measuring and test equipment. 
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work orders, and customer requirements to verify product conformity. 
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances; provide immediate feedback to operators and production personnel. 
• Record inspection results and maintain quality records in manufacturing and quality management systems. 
• Prioritize inspection activities based on production schedules and business needs. 
• Support containment, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions related to quality issues. 
• Assist with calibration awareness, control of inspection equipment, and compliance with quality procedures. 
• Support ISO 9001 and other applicable quality management system requirements. 
• Train and mentor less experienced inspectors and operators on inspection techniques and quality expectations. 
• Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of inspection experience in a sheet metal, machining, or manufacturing environment. 
• Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and indicators. 
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T, engineering drawings and specifications. 
• Knowledge of metrology, inspection methodologies, plating, painting, and manufacturing processes. 
• Familiarity with quality systems, documentation, and traceability requirements. 
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 
• Effective communication and teamwork skills. 
• Computer proficiency and ability to maintain electronic quality records. 
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
