Our client is a leading international contractor expanding their commercial team due to a major new data centre development in Europe. This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the region’s most high-profile technical projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support the commercial management of the project, assisting in cost planning, procurement, subcontractor management and financial reporting. This position is ideal for a QS with strong technical foundations looking to advance within a high-performing commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement activities, including preparing tender documentation and analysing subcontractor bids.
• Support cost control processes, including valuations, variations, and budget tracking.
• Prepare and maintain measurements, bills of quantities, and commercial records.
• Contribute to subcontractor administration from award to final account.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure commercial compliance.
• Provide accurate commercial forecasting and reporting to senior team members.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.

Experience & Skills

• 3 years’ post-graduate experience in quantity surveying, ideally on a Data Centre project.
• Strong understanding of procurement and construction contracts.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a commercial and project delivery team.
