Senior Real Estate Associate – Dentons US LLP

Locations: Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Oakland, Phoenix, Washington, D.C.

Overview

Dentons US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Real Estate Associate to join its nationally recognized Real Estate practice. This role offers the opportunity to step into sophisticated, high-impact transactional work for premier clients while benefiting from robust firm resources, strong mentorship, and meaningful cross-office collaboration.

This position is ideal for an experienced real estate attorney who thrives in complex transactions, values client-facing responsibility, and wants to continue building depth across asset classes on a global platform.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases (including ground and triple-net leases), build-to-suit leases, development agreements, joint venture documents, and related real estate contracts
  2. Lead due diligence efforts, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, and land use matters
  3. Coordinate and close acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development transactions
  4. Manage transaction workstreams and timelines while ensuring high-quality client deliverables
  5. Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate closely with partners and cross-office teams

Position Requirements

  1. Experience & Technical Qualifications
  2. Minimum 10 years of sophisticated real estate transactional experience
  3. Demonstrated leadership in acquisitions and dispositions, build-to-suit leasing (industrial and data center assets), and complex commercial and ground leases
  4. Experience overseeing due diligence, zoning and entitlement issues, and complex closings
  5. Experience at a major law firm with a practice required
  6. Experience mentoring junior attorneys

Bar Admission

Must be licensed and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the candidate will practice

Washington, D.C. candidates may waive in under applicable rules

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $345,000 – $440,000 (location and experience dependent)
  • Title commensurate with experience
