Job Description
Real Estate Energy Solicitor | 2+ PQE | Manchester
Are you a transactional Real Estate Lawyer with a keen interest in specialising into complex energy projects?
The Firm
A recognised energy specialist is building out a real estate energy capability within a top 30 international firm, focused on the intersection of property, infrastructure and the energy transition.
This is not rebranded general real estate. The team advises on land assembly, rights, consenting and documentation for renewable energy projects, EV charging networks, hydrogen schemes, district heating and grid infrastructure.
The Work
Recent matters include land rights for UK nuclear decommissioning projects, district heating schemes for local authorities across Greater Manchester and nationally, and EV charge-point rollouts. The wider pipeline spans solar and wind, hydrogen production, data centres, telecoms infrastructure and regeneration linked to sustainable energy.
The Team
You will work directly with a recognised energy specialist, collaborating closely with commercial energy, planning and projects colleagues as part of a large Regeneration, Development and Infrastructure group. The work is strategic, often large-scale and closely aligned with decarbonisation policy, offering early responsibility and meaningful client exposure.
You will receive structured mentoring and technical training in the regulatory frameworks underpinning energy and infrastructure projects, enabling you to build a genuine specialism in a rapidly expanding sector.
