Uptime Institute is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Recruiter with proven experience sourcing and hiring technical talent for data centers and mission-critical engineering roles. The successful candidate will partner with business leaders, technical managers, and HR to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. This role requires deep understanding of engineering and data center skillsets, as well as hands-on recruitment execution across multiple geographies. The Recruiter will work closely with the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources and HR Administrator based in New York.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Strategy
- Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies to meet current and future talent needs.
- Proactively sources, screens, interviews and refers qualified candidates to hiring managers – this includes posting jobs, pre-screening resumes, interviewing candidates by phone and in-person, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the process to identify exceptional final candidates.
- Lead sourcing efforts using various channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on talent strategies, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Analyze business needs and recommend recruitment and HR solutions that align with company objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights and reports on recruitment metrics, trends, and performance.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Ensure all recruitment and HR practices comply with employment laws and regulations.
- Support onboarding efforts to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
- Collaborate with other HR team members to address employee relations, training, and development needs.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment and HR processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve talent acquisition strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR professional with a focus on talent acquisition.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing, interviewing, and employer branding.
- Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., ATS, HRIS) and recruitment tools.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance standards.
