Job Title: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer\nLocation: South East England (Thames Valley / Home Counties / London)\nSalary: £50,000–£55,000 basic (OTE £65,000–£75,000\nType: Full-Time, Permanent\n\nThe Opportunity\nA fast-growing, stable company is looking to expand its engineering team. We’re currently seeking a skilled and self-motivated Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer based in the Thames Valley / Home Counties region. We also have oppurtunities covering London.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a supportive and technically strong team, with exposure to critical infrastructure and blue-chip clients.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\n\n * \n\n Service, maintenance and repair of cooling systems across data centres, commercial HQs, and occasional retail sites\n\n * \n\n Working with a range of equipment including chillers, CRAC units, AHUs, and pump systems\n\n * \n\n Occasional installation and project-based work\n\n * \n\n Producing detailed written reports and maintaining strong client communication\n\n * \n\n Participating in a 1-in-6-week on-call rota\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\n * \n\n Time-served apprenticeship in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning\n\n * \n\n NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications highly desirable\n\n * \n\n C&G 2079 for refrigerant handling (F-Gas certified)\n\n * \n\n Experience with chillers and preferably hydrocarbons\n\n * \n\n Comfortable working independently and in critical environments\n\n * \n\n Willingness to support both mechanical/electrical and control systems\n\n * \n\n Full UK Driving Licence\n\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n * \n\n £50,000–£55,000 basic salary\n\n * \n\n OTE £65,000–£75,000 (door to door travel paid)\n\n * \n\n Company van + fuel card (personal use included)\n\n * \n\n 28 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * \n\n 5% employer pension contribution\n\n * \n\n Private medical insurance\n\n * \n\n Bi-annual bonus scheme\n\n * \n\n £150 per week on-call standby\n\n * \n\n Minimum 4 hours paid per callout at overtime rate\n\nWhat You’ll Gain:\n\n * \n\n Work on a wide range of plant types and major manufacturers\n\n * \n\n Exposure to data centre environments and infrastructure sites\n\n * \n\n Mentorship from a highly experienced team\n\n * \n\n Development opportunities in areas like SMSTS, TM44, electrical testing, and client-facing leadership\n\n * \n\n Training support, including higher education pathways if desired\n\n * \n\n A collaborative company culture focused on balance and long-term growth\n\nReady to Apply?\nIf you’re looking for a secure and rewarding role where your skills are valued and your development is supported, apply now with your CV.
