Job Description
Regional Sales Manager – AI Data Center Fiber Infrastructure (Remote – U.S.)
\n

About INNO Instrument
\n
INNO Instrument America is the U.S. arm of INNO Instrument Inc., a global manufacturer of fusion splicers, OTDRs, and fiber test & measurement equipment. Our 16-fiber (16F) mass fusion ribbon splicer is built for the high-density ribbon deployments driving AI data center construction — where 16-channel architectures demand single-pass ribbon splicing at scale.
\n
We are the manufacturer, not a reseller. You sell with direct access to factory engineering, same-day pricing authority, and a Managing Director you report to directly. No layers, no committee waiting on a quote.
\n
\n
The Opportunity
\n
This role owns INNO's data center vertical across the United States. You are not covering a territory — you are building a channel, nationally, from the ground up. We are a small, direct-access team (no marketing department, no inside sales layer standing between you and a decision) — that's exactly why the commission is uncapped and why the right person can actually own this.
\n
\n
What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Prospect and win fiber installation contractors and splicing subcontractors working hyperscale AI data center builds nationwide
- Build relationships with manufacturer's reps and distributors supplying fiber components, jumpers, and connectivity hardware into data center projects
- Drive adoption of our 16F ribbon mass fusion splicer into active construction pipelines
- Own the data center strategy — covering every major U.S. hyperscale corridor including Northern Virginia, Dallas, Atlanta, Columbus, Phoenix, and the emerging Midwest campuses
- Partner with our technical team on demos, field evaluations, and customer trials

What We're Looking For (Must Have)
\n
- \n
- Direct sales experience in fiber optic, telecom, or physical-layer network hardware — you've sold equipment or infrastructure into carriers, contractors, or data center builds, not just adjacent software or general IT
- Named, verifiable relationships in the data center fiber ecosystem — able to speak specifically about the GCs, fiber installation subcontractors, splicing crews, or connectivity distributors you've worked with on hyperscale builds
- A proven record of self-generated pipeline and closed B2B deals — you open doors, you don't wait for leads
- Extensive nationwide travel — expect 50%+ on the road
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Strongly
\n
- \n
- Background with high-density ribbon fiber, mass fusion splicing, or structured cabling systems
- Experience at or connections into fiber connector / component manufacturers or their rep networks
- Tier 1/2 carrier or broadband infrastructure sales background
- Hands-on fusion splicer, OTDR, or fiber T&M product experience — a strong plus; we'll provide product training, but the fiber/telecom sales background above is what we can't train
- Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Compensation & Benefits
\n
- \n
- Base salary: $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience and the strength of your existing data center customer network
- Uncapped commission, plus a New Account Milestone Bonus for accounts you personally develop
- Strong first-year earning potential for someone who fully engages the pipeline — full commission structure reviewed during the interview process
- 401(k) plan
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Remote / home-office based anywhere in the U.S., near a major data center market strongly
