Infrastructure Server Migration Engineer – Separation Project \n~ London | Hybrid (On-site & Remote)\n~6 months initial contract \n~600 per day (outside)\n\n\n I am representing a global brand who need a hands-on infrastructure specialist with a passion for complex migrations and hybrid cloud environments. You will be a Server Migration Engineer to support a major M&A separation programme, delivering large-scale server, cloud, and data centre migrations. \n\n About the Role \n In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end server migration activities across Windows and Linux environments, ensuring systems are securely built, patched, and transitioned to new infrastructure.

You’ll work across on-premises and Azure platforms, collaborating with security, cloud, and networking teams to maintain stability and compliance throughout each migration phase. \n\n Key Responsibilities \n Plan and execute server migrations (physical, virtual, and cloud-based)\n Manage Active Directory separations, OU restructures, and Azure integrations \n Deploy and support Azure Arc, Defender for Cloud, and hybrid management agents \n Apply and validate security baselines and compliance standards \n Coordinate migration waves with technical teams and ensure documentation is up to date \n\n Skills and Technical Areas \n Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016–2022) and/or Linux administration \n Solid understanding of Azure IaaS, Active Directory, and virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V)\n Knowledge of networking, , and security principles \n Previous experience in M&A separations, infrastructure carve-outs, or data centre migrations \n Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills \n\n Desirable Certifications \n Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Windows Server Hybrid Administrator \n CompTIA Security+, ITIL v4, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Kubernetes certification
