Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
CMCOM is seeking a high-performing Financial Analyst to support capital planning, project financial performance monitoring, and executive-level reporting across a major infrastructure portfolio based in New York City.
This position is ideal for an analytically driven professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments and is ready to contribute to mission-critical public-sector investment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support monthly reporting of project cost, spending, commitments, and schedule performance
- Maintain and enhance Excel-based capital plan trackers, dashboards, and forecasting tools
- Assist with onboarding and financial setup of new capital projects
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure budget alignment and documentation compliance
- Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of over- and under-spending
- Prepare summary reports and executive-ready budget packages for senior leadership review
- Manage multi-year spending databases and contribute to long-range capital planning updates
- Support internal prioritization, scoring, and investment decision-making processes
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration
- 1–3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or project controls
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Pivot tables
- Lookup functions
- Complex formulas
- Financial modeling and automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly across technical, financial, and executive audiences
- Experience supporting infrastructure or capital program environments strongly
Skills
- Familiarity with project controls and capital program delivery environments
- SharePoint experience and large-scale reporting workflows
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines
- Commitment to audit-ready documentation and financial governance best practices
Work Environment & Requirements
- Hybrid assignment based at World Trade Center, NYC
- Occasional visits to regional project facilities as required
- Candidate must obtain a SWAC ID security clearance immediately upon hire
