Roofing Estimator - Roofing Construction - Base to 130k/year - Buford, GA

  • AllSearch Recruiting is partnering with a leading commercial and industrial roofing company near Atlanta to hire an experienced Roofing Estimator. This is a high-impact, in-office role focused exclusively on large-scale commercial projects (minimum 150k, with current projects ranging up to 16M+). The ideal candidate is a seasoned estimator who can hit the ground running, produce highly accurate bids in a high-volume environment (typically 5–10 projects per week), and contribute to business growth by partnering closely with sales and project management teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for large commercial and industrial reroofing and new construction projects, ensuring all material, labor, equipment, overhead, and risk costs are fully captured.
  • Interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and other drawings to develop comprehensive bids.
  • Manage a high-volume bid calendar (5–10 projects per week), prioritizing deadlines and delivering estimates on time.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to support new business development, refine project scopes, and provide timely pricing feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, track pricing programs, and secure competitive material and subcontractor costs.
  • Partner with the field inspection team to identify site-specific risks and incorporate findings into estimates for improved accuracy and risk mitigation.
  • Perform site visits or coordinate with the inspection team as needed for project-specific details.
  • Prepare submittals, bid documentation, and other materials required for approvals.
  • Log all bids and related information in CenterPoint CRM; utilize internally developed Excel spreadsheets for estimating and cost modeling.
  • Multitask across multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of estimating processes and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial roofing estimating experience (residential experience does not apply).
  • Deep technical knowledge of roof systems, including:
  • TPO and PVC systems
  • Freezer/cold-storage roof construction with vapor seal details
  • Data center roof systems and associated challenges
  • FM Global, Florida Building Code and International Building Code (IBC) fastening and uplift requirements
  • R-value and energy-efficiency insulation standards
  • Proven ability to produce accurate bids on projects ranging from $150K to $16M+.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for complex cost modeling, data analysis, and reporting (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field ; equivalent experience considered.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits or client meetings.
  • Must be able to work in-office at our Buford, GA headquarters (remote not an option).

  • Base salary in the 120k - 130k/year range plus bonus
