The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for managing and growing Amiad and Aslan business in the midwestern states of the USA. The primary responsibility is to support representative and distributor partners specifying and selling Amiad water filtration equipment to the Industrial and Municipal markets. The RSM works with engineering companies, design consultants, EPCs, OEMs, and contractors to drive specification and facilitate purchase and delivery of Amiad filtration equipment in Industrial and Municipal water projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with sales leadership to develop and execute growth plans and strategies for the segments that are linked to the organization’s market objectives and strategies
- Consistently identify new business opportunities for Amiad technologies and Aslan solutions
- Prepare budgetary quotations and equipment proposals as necessary
- Work with Application Engineering (AE) team to develop high spec proposals
- Partner with Aslan project management team and AE to support project execution to completion
- Develop productive and valuable relationships with distribution and representative partners.
- Influence key decision makers, uncover new business opportunities, recommend differentiated solutions and communicate successful strategies to a range of stakeholders within the target markets
Attend trade shows in the territory to support distributor efforts and promote the Company’s products and capabilities
- Provide product training and sales presentations to the Company independent sales rep/distributors, engineering firms, and other influencers
- Prepare monthly sales forecast, summary of actions, needs and opportunities to present to Industrial Business Unit Director
- Manage opportunities and pipeline through the company CRM
- Support the marketing efforts by contributing regional information and supporting materials
- Interact with Customer Service (CS) team for timely, accurate communication and order fulfillment
- Interact with Technical Service (TS) team to address technical issues with installed products
- Cooperate extensively with all functional departments within Amiad and Aslan
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years in a similar sales role working with high spec projects in the water/wastewater industry
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers as well as at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently to prospect alone and in collaboration with independent rep/distributor partners.
- Strong classroom presentation skills
- Software applications - Competence with MS Office suite
- Experience with CRM for project tracking
- Consistently show patience and courtesy to customers; diplomacy and ability to resolve sales and equipment related problems
- Collaborate with multiple departments within the Company
- Experience with water treatment equipment and/or water systems required
- Professional teamwork and interactive people skills
- Solutions-focused mindset
- Familiarity with industrial evaporative cooling for data center market a plus
Work Environment
- Home office management
- Frequent travel to offices, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, industrial sites, water/wastewater treatment facilities
- Routinely required to use standard office equipment and expected to be proficient with a variety of computer programs, including MS Office suite
- Must adhere to Company safety policies and client/prospect requirements
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, crouch (bend at the knees), reach, stoop (bend at the waist), kneel, grasp, see, talk, hear and use hands to operate office equipment
- May occasionally lift or move office products and supplies typically 10-30 pounds but up to 50 pounds
- Adjustment to time changes when traveling between different time zones
Travel
- Frequent travel is required for this position
