Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMission Critical Safety CoordinatorElectrical Contractor | Mission Critical / Data Center | Charlotte, NCWe are seeking a qualified Safety Coordinator for an electrical contracting client to support environmental, health, and safety program execution across mission critical electrical construction projects in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for ensuring all field personnel, project leadership, and subcontractors are operating in full compliance with Adams Electric's safety programs and all applicable OSHA regulations. Candidates must have construction safety coordination experience and hold an active OSHA 510 certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform construction site safety audits and inspections in accordance with company safety protocols
  • Actively participate in project handoff processes including site preparation and acclimating to the project team
  • Document and communicate inspection findings and corrective actions through company information systems
  • Conduct quality control inspections of field leadership personnel to ensure Pre-Task Planning and safety forms are being followed
  • Ensure all assigned projects are properly equipped with safety apparatus, PPE, potable water, first aid, and required site amenities
  • Attend all safety meetings required by Adams, General Contractors, and Owners and represent the company professionally
  • Provide and identify safety-related training and oversee adherence to construction safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations including 29 CFR 1926 and 29 CFR 1910
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in the Workplace requirements on all assigned projects
  • Maintain accurate and up to date personnel and company safety records
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with field associates, project managers, and client contacts

Qualifications

  • OSHA 510 certification required — candidates without this will not be considered
  • Meets NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Qualified Person criteria required
  • Minimum 2 years of construction safety coordination experience at a major construction site
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations 29 CFR 1926 and 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience in electrical construction or mission critical environments strongly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train both large and small groups
  • Skilled at creating, maintaining, and managing safety records and documentation
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing site conditions
  • First Aid and CPR certification
