Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Lead to support safety operations on hyperscale data center construction projects.

This individual will play a key role in maintaining a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with all OSHA and site-specific requirements.

This role is best suited for a self-sufficient safety professional who can operate independently in a fast-paced construction environment and provide leadership without requiring direct oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce site safety protocols on active data center construction projects
• Conduct daily site walks, safety audits, and hazard assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, including fall protection and job site safety requirements
• Complete and maintain all required site safety documentation, reports, and logs
• Lead or support toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations
• Identify and proactively address potential safety risks and unsafe behaviors
• Serve as the on-site safety point of contact for contractors and project teams
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to client and company policies

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification (required)
• 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably in data center or large-scale commercial environments
• Prior experience in a lead or supervisory safety role strongly
• Strong knowledge of fall protection standards and implementation
• Experience completing site safety forms, reports, and compliance documentation
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple trades and stakeholders
• Additional safety certifications are highly (CHST is a plus)

Experience

• Experience working on hyperscale data center projects (AWS, Google, Meta, etc.)
• Familiarity with high-paced construction environments and multiple subcontractors
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives without direct supervision
