The Safety Manager will lead the Horwitz Safety Program at the Fargo, ND Data Center location including the off-site fabrication facility. In addition to the project site safety responsibilities, they shall complete all project related tasks assigned to them by the Safety Director and Project Executive Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:
- Enforce the Safety Program and Project Specific Safety and Health Initiatives.
- Provides technical safety advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to all project employees regarding Horwitz safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for staying updated in all necessary State and Federal rules and regulations relevant to our scope of work.
- Performing in-house safety training as well as coordinating third-party training sessions.
- Developing or updating Project specific safety policies and procedures.
- Reporting, handling, and monitoring of workers compensation, property, and general liability insurance claims associated with the Project.
- Conducting new-hire safety orientations for all project employees.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections on the Project site.
- Investigating all assigned accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Leads Companys Project Safety Committee.
- Investigate and provide corrective actions for all Project incidents.

What you bring?
- 5-10 Years of experience managing a Mechanical Service or Construction safety program.
- Possess a current BCSP certification, (CHST, SMP, or CSP)
- EHS related undergraduate degree program but not required.
- OSHA 30 Certification but not required. Ability to complete within first 10 days of employment.
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of State and Federal environmental, health, and safety standards and regulations.
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meets challenging work goals.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic.
