Reports to: Director of Environmental, Health & Safety EH&S
Location: Hybrid: Dallas, Phoenix, or Chicago
Travel: 30% Domestic travel
The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, and continuously improving the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs across assigned construction projects, with a focus on ensuring compliance, promoting a proactive safety culture, and preventing incidents. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in commercial construction safety and have experience supporting data center construction or operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific safety plans in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify and correct unsafe conditions or practices.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Prime project leadership and General Contractors to ensure compliance with OSHA,and Prime safety standards.
- Deliver safety training to Prime personnel
- Support pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and high-risk work permitting processes.
- Collaborate with the EH&S team to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Participate in safety committee meetings, internal audits, and Prime safety reviews.
- Attends OFCI, commissioning and Engineering meetings to determine and understand EHS requirements of each site.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time safety experience in commercial construction.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA standards, risk management, and safety best practices in the construction environment.
- Familiarity with CFR 1929, CFR 1910, NFPA 70E, and other industry standards.
- OSHA 500 certification (or OSHA 510 with the ability to obtain OSHA 500 within 6 months).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
- Proficiency in safety documentation, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

- Experience in data center construction or critical environment operations.
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience with Procore
