HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager near Lancaster, TX to oversee safety operations on an industrial construction project. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe.
- Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, permits, and tracking systems
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
- Daily safety audits and inspections
- Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
- Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, Excavation, and Electrical Systems
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years direct construction safety experience with at least 2+ years of experience on energy infrastructure projects required
- OSHA 30 in Construction, NFPA 70e and First Aid/CPR required
- An active BCSP certification and OSHA 500 are highly
- Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards, NFPA 70E electrical safety, and energy distribution safety protocols
- Familiarity with arc flash hazards, electrical boundaries, and energized work controls.
- Experience with data centers, mission-critical builds, and energy infrastructure required
- Experience supporting or overseeing energization, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
- Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, switching procedures, and electrical drawings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills
