Progressive Safety is looking for a dedicated Safety Specialist to support a high-profile construction project in Smithville, MO. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, have a sharp eye for hazard identification, and are passionate about protecting workers on large-scale job sites, this is the opportunity for you!

Full-time, onsite at a single location

Competitive Pay + Benefits Package + Per diem for non local candidates

Expected working hours: 50+hrs a week: Monday-Friday (10hrs) and potential Saturday (8 hours)

What We’re Looking For:

• OSHA 500 or CHST or Bachelors degree in Safety
• 3+ years of construction safety experience (Mega-project experience is a plus: data centers, manufacturing, EV, etc.)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving job site

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Safety Initiatives – Implement and enforce safety policies to create a proactive safety culture.
• Train & Educate – Conduct safety training and toolbox talks to ensure all workers understand best practices.
• Identify & Mitigate Risks – Perform job hazard analyses and risk assessments.
• Investigate & Improve – Analyze incidents and near-misses, then develop corrective action plans.
• Stay Compliant – Ensure the site adheres to OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
• Collaborate – Work closely with site management and contractors to maintain a safe job site.
