HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist to support our growing commercial construction projects. If you’re passionate about making an impact, driving compliance, and building a culture where every worker goes home safe, we want you on our team.

  • OSHA 510 and STSC .

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and client safety standards across all electrical scopes of work.
    • Conduct daily field safety audits, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and pre-task planning reviews with crews. Majority fiield work making observations
    • Ability to lead and document toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing safety training for field personnel.
    • Monitor high-risk activities such as energized electrical work, lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash exposure, elevated work, and confined space entry.
    • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.
    • Track and maintain safety metrics, documentation, permits, and compliance records.
    • Support project leadership in fostering a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure proper use, inspection, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
    • Participate in site safety meetings, audits, and client inspections.

    Deliverables:

    • Daily/weekly safety reports and inspection logs
    • Incident and near-miss investigation reports
    • Training records and attendance documentation
    • Compliance tracking and corrective action follow-ups
    • Safety performance metrics and trend analysis

Qualifications

  • Qualifications (Typical):

    • Relevant safety certifications: 3 years + experience OSHA 510
    • Experience on large-scale or mission-critical construction projects, preferably data centers
    • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, LOTO procedures)
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills
