Sales Engineer - Power Quality & UPS

Power is seeking a technically strong Sales Engineer ready to expand their impact beyond traditional engineering. This role is ideal for an electrical or power systems professional who understands UPS, generators, and mission-critical infrastructure, and is interested in developing toward solution sales and broader commercial leadership.

You will support our UPS and Power Quality business within a growing Power Solutions organization serving data centers, healthcare, telecom, industry, and other mission-critical customers nationwide.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pre-sales technical support for UPS and power quality solutions
  • Develop specialized technical quotations and system configurations
  • Support system sizing (single- and three-phase UPS, battery runtime, paralleling, generator coordination)
  • Manage selected accounts in partnership with Outside Sales
  • Interface with OEM partners and internal operations teams
  • Maintain opportunity tracking in D365 CRM
  • Contribute to lifecycle service and solution strategies

You will gain exposure to real revenue strategy, complex applications, and -scale customers.

Education and experience:

  • BS, AAS, military technical training, or equivalent experience in electrical or power systems
  • 3+ years of experience in UPS, generators, or related power quality equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams
  • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with customers
  • Hands-on experience with mission-critical applications
  • Experience with CRM or ERP platforms
  • Prior exposure to commercial or customer-facing environments

Compensation and Benefits:

  • We are a performance-based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employees’ productivity and overall performance
  • Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days (first year is pro-rated based on start date)

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit for an extended time, up to 8 hours
