Job Title: Marketing Manager

Location: Austin, TX OR San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
Job Duration: 12+m Contract

 

Primary Skills: 

  • 6+ years of experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing marketing role.
  • Successful development of solutions messaging that integrates data center messaging with third-party resources that can be leveraged in training sales, partners, and GTM campaigns
  • Development of a grounds-up market plan with key stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaboration across teams and with customers to support events, deliver product demos, craft messaging, launch products, and create materials that drive go-to-market.
  • Experience in cross-organizational discussions ranging from Engineering to Sales and from individual contributor to Vice President.
  • Help management of marketing funds with return on analysis post-delivery analysis

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Solution Stack Development & Technical Leadership
  • Knowledge of modern server platform architecture includes knowledge of the processor and the ecosystem with the ability to communicate in a simple manner.
  • Lead investment initiatives with OEM partner to build innovative solution stacks across targeted workloads and verticals.
  • Drive benchmarking, ISV pipeline development, certifications, and supporting GTM materials.
  • Assess competitive landscape and conduct win/loss and performance analysis.
  • Program & Resource Management
  • Coordinate AMD engineering, product, marketing, and sales resources to support solution development, platform readiness, and launch execution.
  • Manage Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) budgets, business cases, contracts, and end-to-end delivery.
  • Oversee development samples, product updates, engineering support, and schedule alignment.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects with an unstructured or ambiguous environment.
  • Go-to-Market & Co-Marketing Execution
  • Align with OEM and AMD marketing teams to build and execute joint go-to-market programs, sales plays, incentives, and solution promotions.
  • Develop solution briefs, sales enablement assets, competitive messaging, and training content.
  • Support long-term solution plans and integrate AMD platforms and messaging into partner programs and tools.
  • Identify and amplify customer success stories, testimonials, and reference cases.
  • Understands both user and buyer personas for server and server processor products and services.
  • Sales Enablement & Market Penetration
  • Understand customer pain points, goals, and opportunities and ability to translate into sales plays and relevant sales enablement.
  • Evangelize AMD solutions internally and across OEM sales teams to drive adoption in priority workloads and segments.
  • Provide training, competitive positioning, and proactive sales tools.
  • Work with sales to optimize pricing structure, margin management, EOL planning, and supply/demand fulfillment.
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in developing presentations (PowerPoint), leading initiatives and coordinating actions across functions, managing project deliverables with clear accountability, and consistently providing thorough follow-up.

 

SUMMARY:

  • The Solutions Manager will work with one, or more, OEM and AMD cross-functional teams to help maximize AMD portfolio penetration in the market by developing and driving solution stacks with related benchmarking and necessary marketing content to support AMD server sales goals. This role is at the center of securing more than our fair share of the market and meeting/exceeding revenue, units, and margin goals in this growing part of the AMD data center business. In this highly collaborative role, you will work with engineering, product management, sales, finance, legal and OEM partners to promote business, services, products, and the AMD brand.
  • THE PERSON:
  • The candidate should be ready to take initiative, learn quickly, and lead projects. Effective communication, strong organization skills, and the ability to drive teams to action are essential. The candidate will effectively understand AMD marketing objectives, key messages, and apply operational discipline to enable those strategies. Situational awareness, strong technical and business acumen, and customer-facing skills are a must.

 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or engineering (Computer or Electrical) or equivalent experience.

Willing to consider experience in lieu of education.
