7.5-hour working day between 07:00 - 19:00 (flexible within this window)

\n\nAbout the Role\n

You'll be part of our Ring Fenced Team (RFT), a group of 15 engineers supporting the London area. The team provides cover for sickness, holidays, resource-on-demand requests, and project work across multiple customer accounts-including government and banking sectors. Due to the nature of these clients, Security Clearance (SC) will be required.

\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

\n
• Provide intermediate to advanced desktop support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and break/fix services.

\n

• Deliver basic Wintel server support including installation, configuration, administration, and hardware repairs.

\n

• Support a variety of hardware and software platforms, accredited through vendor training (e.g., HP, Dell, Lenovo).

\n

• Occasionally drive a customer-supplied vehicle to satellite sites-clean driving license required.

\n

\n\nTechnical Skills & Experience\n

Desktop & Mobile Support:

\n

\n
• Windows 10/11 desktop and laptop support (HP, Dell, Lenovo)

\n

• macOS support (MacBook and desktop)

\n

• Office 365 and Microsoft Teams

\n

• Apple and Android mobile devices

\n

• Wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics

\n

• Walk-up Tech Bar and floor-walking support

\n

\n

System Administration:

\n

\n
• OS navigation, desktop shortcuts, printer setup, and network mapping

\n

• Laptop/desktop build and configuration using scripted processes

\n

• Moves, changes, and workstation setups

\n

\n

Server & Data Centre:

\n

\n
• Experience with HP ProLiant (Gen8-Gen10), Dell servers, Lenovo blades

\n

• Backup systems, tape libraries, storage configuration, and hardware support

\n

• Cisco hardware knowledge

\n

\n\nAdditional Requirements\n

\n
• \nSecurity Clearance (SC) is mandatory.

\n

• Must have hands-on experience with server break/fix in a data centre environment.

\n

• Willingness to travel and drive as needed.
