Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour W2 Plus Mileage (LOCAL ONLY NO PER DIEM)

Job Overview

SurePoint Safety is seeking Seasonal (Summer) Safety Auditors to perform safety audits and compliance inspections on active school construction and renovation projects during the summer shutdown periods.

This is a seasonal summer position operating while schools are out of session. Candidates must be comfortable with regular travel between assigned school projects.

Assignments may include visits to 1-3 school construction project once a week. Project locations vary throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area.

**This position requires travel to multiple school construction projects throughout the Pittsburgh area. Some project locations may require travel up to 2-3 hours from your residence. Mileage reimbursed; overnight travel is not required. Applicants must be willing and able to ravel to assigned project sites as needed****

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to multiple active school construction and renovation project sites throughout assigned regions. Both South and North Pittsburgh area.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled safety audits and inspections.
  • Identify Hazards
  • Record Positive findings
  • Ensure compliance

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Construction required
  • Prior construction or safety experience
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple project sites
  • Proficient with smartphones email, and digital reporting platforms
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Candidates must be able to successfully complete all required school district and state clearances, including:
    • FBI Fingerprinting through (IdentGO)
    • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
    • Offender Registry (NSOR) Verification
    • Arrest/Conviction report and Certification (Act 24 of 2011 and ACT 82 of 2012)
    • Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol
    • Employment Background verification

Mileage is reimbursed at the company rate. This is a local position and does not include per diem or lodging.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
