We are seeking an experienced Security Architect / Cisco Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise security infrastructure. This role focuses on deploying and administering Check Point security gateways and Cisco network security solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME), ensuring security best practices, optimizing firewall performance, and enhancing overall network security posture.

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Architecture & Engineering

  • Design, deploy, and administer Check Point security gateways, including VSX environments
  • Implement and manage enterprise security policies aligned with organizational standards
  • Optimize firewall rulebase for performance, visibility, and security compliance

Network Security Management

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls (including R82)
  • Administer Cisco Secure Firewall, Cisco ASA, and related security technologies
  • Ensure secure integration between Cisco data center infrastructure and Check Point environments

Security Operations

  • Implement and validate security controls such as IPS, geo-blocking, and QoS
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues
  • Support day-to-day firewall operations and incident response

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with IT, security teams, and business stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations on security improvements
  • Train internal staff on security tools and operational best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with Check Point security gateways deployment and administration
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco data center networking technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with Check Point VSX
  • Hands-on experience with Check Point R82
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Required Certifications

  • Current or previous Check Point and/or Cisco certifications

Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco Remote Access VPN solutions
  • Experience with Cisco Firepower
