As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

Location: Kansas City, MO

Pay: $65,000 - $70,000 Based on qualifications.

Security Supervisor:

The Security Supervisor will be responsible for providing a visual security presence to ensure visitors, clients, and employees have a safe and pleasant experience while inside the Facility. Deter and detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or site infractions which may pose a threat to the property, client, or employees at the site. Provide excellent customer service to all individuals that enter the facility and further employee/management relations, goodwill, and public relations to keep our customers for life.

 This role is responsible for the management of internal and external Physical Security, coordinates implementations with property management, construction, sales engineering, operations, engineering, and asset management. Additional responsivities include the logistical management of all internal/external deliveries and shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversees the security contract services

· Responsible for both the Safety and Security Department of the facility

· Manages and maintains Access Control, Visitor Management, CCTV and DVR system

· Reports for all emergencies and follows emergency response procedures.

· Oversees risk assessments of physical security and closely collaborating with Customers.

· Develops policy on the physical protection strategy for properties and personnel.

· Develops policy for the receiving and security of shipments and deliveries.

· Establishes a tracking system to ensure all packages/deliveries are accounted for and delivered.

· Develops and evaluates technology for use/application for physical access control.

· Coordinates or completes internal/external security investigations.

· Develops contingency/emergency plans, procedures, and corporate response teams.

· Oversees the security awareness program, security hotline, and incident database.

· Coordinates customers special needs requirements.

· Serves as local liaison on specific assets relative to immediate customer solutions.

· Responds in a timely and effective manner to customer inquiries, issues, and complaints.

· Performs periodic audits of to ensure compliance with written standards and policies.

· Participates in site compliance audits.

· Reaches out to customers on a regular basis to form strong working relationships and ensure satisfaction with the Physical Security operations.

· Understands the principal engineering properties of power and cooling, relative to building operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Manages security officers and security consultants.

· Creates, assigns, and issues facility access badges to authorized personnel

· Creates employee schedules and collects and approved time records

· Creates assignment of special projects and reports as requested

Competencies:

· Knowledge and familiarization with emergency action plan and evacuation procedures

· Ability to handle emergency and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.

· Ability to analyze and solve problems involving several options with limited information. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and to work independently.

Work Environment:

Essential duties are done both inside and outside, in climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled conditions. Exposure to wet (and humidity), extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, mechanical hazards, radiant energy hazards, electrical hazards, explosive hazards, and burn hazards. Climbing ladders and scaffolding as required to complete and supervise work.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

· Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

· Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

· Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

· Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

· Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

· Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

· Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

· Ability to differentiate between -coded warning signs, labels, and cables

· Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

· Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

· Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

· Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Travel: None

Required Education and Experience:

· At least 5-7 years’ experience in Security Management

· 3 years of experience working with vendors and managing a security extended workforce

· Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems

· Experience managing security operations, and security personnel, and delivering high-quality, customer-oriented security programs

· Valid DPS Guard Card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying

· As a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a background investigation Qualifications

· Experience working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services

· Create effective presentations and communicate with internal and external customers

· Excellent organization and decision-making skills with a proactive and customer service-oriented mindset

· Detail oriented with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

· High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university or a minimum of five to seven years of related experience and/or training .

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

· State-specific guard license/certificate.

· Must be willing to submit to a full criminal background check, results of which may or may not bar employment, in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.

· Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen, which results will be interpreted and applied to an employment eligibility determination in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.

· Must have adequate transportation to and from work, as well as for patrol and other rounds.

· Must be at least 21 years of or older
