About the Opportunity
\n
We are seeking an experienced Security Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale, gigawatt data center campus in Saline, Michigan.
\n
This role will oversee the planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover of integrated electronic security systems within a highly complex mission-critical environment. The Security Project Manager will work closely with general contractors, commissioning agents, design teams, vendors, subcontractors, and owner representatives to ensure security systems are delivered according to design requirements, project schedules, quality standards, and operational expectations.

The ideal candidate combines strong electronic security systems expertise with project management and construction/commissioning experience, particularly within data centers, hyperscale facilities, or other mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the electronic security scope from construction and installation through commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.
- Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of:
- Access Control Systems
- Video Surveillance / CCTV
- Intrusion Detection Systems
- Intercom Systems
- Visitor Management Systems
- Security Network Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security commissioning schedules and project milestones.
- Coordinate with commissioning agents to verify systems meet design intent and operational requirements.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders related to security systems.
- Lead and coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and final commissioning activities.
- Manage punch lists, track deficiencies, and drive corrective actions through completion.
- Ensure complete and accurate project documentation, including:
- As-built drawings
- Test reports
- O&M manuals
- Commissioning documentation
- Training materials
- Turnover packages
- Coordinate security system integration with electrical, mechanical, controls, networking, and other building systems.
- Participate in owner, construction, commissioning, and project coordination meetings.
- Monitor project schedule, cost, quality, safety, and overall execution.
- Support the transition from construction and commissioning into facility operations.

Required Qualifications
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of experience managing electronic security systems, preferably within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or large commercial/industrial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience with the commissioning of physical security systems.
- Working knowledge of access control platforms such as:
- LenelS2
- Genetec
- C•CURE
- Similar enterprise security platforms
- Working knowledge of video management systems such as:
- Milestone
- Genetec Security Center
- Avigilon
- Similar VMS platforms
- Understanding of IP networking, low-voltage systems, and structured cabling.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors, commissioning teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong project organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Qualifications

- Previous experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise data center projects.
- Experience working on gigawatt-scale campus developments.
- Knowledge of commissioning standards and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) methodologies.
- PMP certification .
- ASIS PSP or CPP certification is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification .

Success in this role means ensuring the campus's integrated security systems are installed, tested, commissioned, documented, and turned over on schedule with minimal outstanding deficiencies.

The Security Project Manager will play a key role in coordinating construction, commissioning, security, networking, and operations stakeholders to ensure the facility's security infrastructure is fully functional and ready for operational use.
