We are a global leader in fire, security, and communication integration solutions, serving enterprise, healthcare, education, government, data center, and retail industries. We are seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician to join our security business unit.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation and configuration of physical security systems including CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and related security technologies
• Pull and route low-voltage cables (network, power, and video) to support security system installations; ensure cables are neatly organized, labeled, and meet safety and quality standards
• Install and secure electrical conduit and cable trays per blueprints and design specifications
• Support physical installation of cameras, access control panels, alarm systems, and other security devices including mounting, cabling, and initial power-ups
• Work with the installation team to ensure smooth integration of security equipment with other data center systems
• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting issues related to installations, cabling, or connectivity
• Coordinate closely with electricians, network specialists, and other trades during construction
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures, particularly when handling tools and electrical components
• Maintain accurate installation records including cable routing, labeling, and system configurations
• Ensure all installations meet company and industry quality standards per project specifications
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience installing security systems or working with low-voltage cabling
• Prior experience with cable pulling, conduit installation, and electrical work
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Knowledge of low-voltage systems including pulling, routing, and terminating cables
• Basic understanding of electrical safety, tool usage, and security system components
Qualifications:
• Technical certifications in low-voltage electrical work or security systems (e.g., NICET, CompTIA Security+)
• Experience in new construction or data center environments
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and alarm system installation
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and security system designs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated positions
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
