The Okonite Company is seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk/Receptionist for our Orangeburg, SC Manufacturing Facility. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented candidate. This dual-role position combines front-desk responsibilities with accounting support, making it essential for the ideal candidate to be both personable and highly organized. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, the receptionist aspect of the role requires excellent communication and customer service skills. Meanwhile, the accounting duties demand accuracy, efficiency, and a strong understanding of basic principles of finance. Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and coding of daily production sheets for all hourly employees (200+)
  • Posting of all direct labor quantities to applicable sequence on C&R
  • Review of all overages on 7 line with Production Control and interface with supervisors on production reporting problems.
  • Summarize direct labor and indirect labor from production sheets.
  • Crosscheck production report total hours for a given day against time controls
  • Input all labor into KEYF Program
  • General clerical duties
  • Assist in annual plant physical inventory.
  • Greet, direct or assist callers, visitors and employees as needed.
  • Assist with projects as assigned

Experience:

  • Associate degree but not required
  • 3+ years experience in an Accounting environment
  • Manufacturing/Cost Accounting but not required
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Word
  • Detail oriented and an ability to work both independently and as a team member
