We are seeking an Senior ASIC Design Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on developing, administering, and modernizing HPC and EDA infrastructure, enabling high-performance ASIC design workflows and supporting next- AI/HPC clusters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the optimization of ASIC design and verification flows and infrastructure, including compute clusters, storage, batch queuing systems (e.g., LSF, Slurm), and EDA environments.
  • Drive efficiencies with AI and automation across all tools and EDA workflows. Perform tool license management and optimization on batch compute environment.
  • Manage ASIC tool installation, environment setup, and licensing supportfor ASIC design and EDA applications.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute HPC/EDA environment modernizations.
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams, IT, and engineering leadershipto implement scalable and efficient workflows.
  • Drive process improvements, patch management, and operational efficiency across multiple sites.
  • Implement and maintain metrics reporting for resource utilization, engineering productivity, and system performance.
  • Evaluate new technologies, colocation services, cloud services, and tools (e.g., Azure CycleCloud, scale-out storage solutions) to optimize HPC/EDA operations and reduce costs.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. degreein Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experiencesupporting ASIC EDA environments in multi-site, global organizations.
  • Strong expertise in Linux administration, batch systems (LSF, Slurm), storage (NetApp, Isilon, Qumulo), and VDI environments.
  • Experience with EDA tools and ASIC workflows, including tool installation, licensing, and operational support.
  • Scripting and automationexperience (Python, Tcl, Bash) to support HPC/EDA operations and productivity.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate across global sites, and manage projects with complex infrastructure dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with design teams, IT, and vendors.

Experience

  • Large-scale data center consolidationor HPC/EDA environment modernization projects.
  • Cloud HPC deployments and cost optimization strategies (Azure, CycleCloud, HPC burst management).
  • Implementing metrics-driven operationsfor system performance and engineering productivity.

Your base pay will be determined by factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and location relative to the hiring range for the position.
