Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor

A leading global consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team in Slough, working on a portfolio of major data centre and mission-critical projects.

This is a senior opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with strong data centre experience and expert knowledge of the FIDIC Yellow Book, who is looking to take the next step in their career within a highly regarded consultancy.

You will work closely with major clients, contractors and project teams, providing high-level commercial and quantity surveying advice throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

As Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role across major data centre projects, with responsibilities including:

Providing strategic commercial and cost management advice to clients

Managing the commercial aspects of major data centre projects from inception through to completion

Cost planning, estimating and cost reporting

Procurement and tender management

Contract administration and commercial management

Change control, variations and risk management

Reviewing and managing contractor applications, valuations and payments

Final accounts and commercial close-out

Advising clients on contractual and commercial matters

Managing relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders

Providing leadership and mentoring to junior members of the team

Supporting the continued growth of the data centre and mission-critical business

About You

We are looking for a Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor with significant experience working within the data centre sector.

You will ideally be MRICS qualified and have a strong track record delivering complex, high-value projects within a consultancy environment.

Crucially, you will have:

Significant data centre / mission-critical project experience

Expert knowledge and practical experience of the FIDIC Yellow Book

Strong technical and commercial quantity surveying experience

Experience working on complex, high-value construction projects

Excellent client-facing and communication skills

The ability to lead projects and manage key stakeholder relationships

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Experience mentoring or managing junior surveyors

This is a senior appointment, so we're looking for someone who can operate confidently with clients, take ownership of major commissions and contribute to the continued development of the wider team.
